The Asian American Basketball Grand Slam!
There are four major tournaments in the country every year, and
no team has ever won all four. So no team has ever won all four in one year. This will be tough for any team to do considering
all the obstacles. Travel and distance might the main concern for all teams that would try to achieve this goal. Plus winning
tournaments is tough anyways, but the major tournaments have the top teams from that region plus from other regions. So who
will achieve the Asian Basketball Grand Slam! Or who will even come close?

NEWS Buzzzzzz!!!
There has recently been rumored that Xiro will be playing in next weekend's Windy City Tournament
with Bo from Atlanta. If that's true, it will definetly be something
to watch. With Xiro (the current #1 player in the country) teamed with Bo (maybe the top asian player in the Atlanta),they
should be one of the favorites to win that tournament. With two great scorers, are there enough shots to go around? Will there
be a chemistry issue? Or can they work together and win a tournament? Looks to be exciting news for asian basketball fans,
with two of the top scorers in the country on the same team! We will find out
next weekend, if its a success or a bust!

NBA China
If you haven't heard already, the new NBA China league is official. The NBA and Chinese investors are putting together
a NBA prototype in the country of China. With the largest population in the world, the NBA is looking to cash in on a huge
asian market. Smart move I'd say. And recently ESPN and the Disney corporation has put there interest by becoming a major
investor pumping millions of dollars into the league. But this historic basketball project is much more than money.
This league will put the awareness of basketball across surrounding asian countries and asian communities around the
world. Hopefully their will be more basketball programs for the asian youth all around the world. This will also hopefully
add more opportunities for the next generation of asian basketball players, and develop more asian superstars to compete against
the top players in the NBA. That I would love to see.
And maybe our asian parents will encourage basketball and sports, just like they encourage being doctors and engineers.
Because for most first generation asian american basketball players, they did not get the support from their immigrant
parents. You will hear a lot of stories of potential college players, but due to lack of encouragement, only a few
made it. Things are a little different now, there's been much more support and opportunities. But we have a long way to go.
But I think this new NBA China is a great thing for asian basketball. Keep ballin yah!
